The Nursing program is designed to prepare the student for an entry-level career as a professional nurse. The well-rounded and balanced education will introduce the student to a broad range of subjects such as communication and natural sciences. The program includes a challenging curriculum, encompassing nursing communications, nursing management, nursing fundamentals, patient assessment and clinical practice. The curriculum is designed to provide the competency based, outcome oriented didactic, laboratory and clinical experience including the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to become a Registered Nurse.
As a Professional Nurse you will be able to work in many different health care settings:

- Demonstrate knowledge of the renal system, renal failure and the impact of renal failure on other body systems.
- Identify treatment options for renal failure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of Hemodialysis and operation of the Hemodialysis machine.
- Identify complications of Hemodialysis and appropriate interventions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of professional protocol and more.

As Leading Educators in the Nursing field, our Hemodialysis Technician training is one of the few programs in Florida accredited by BONENT (Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology) and CNET (Center for Nursing Education & Training).
You will have the opportunity to be trained and learn from seasoned and active Hemodialysis Professionals that will help you acquire the necessary skills and patient-centered vision.
The Hemodialysis Technician program covers vital theory and practical components in 600 hours of training under the direct supervision of Hemodialysis Nurses and Professional Nursing staff.
Our graduates can apply for the National and/or International Certification Examination with the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing Technology (BONENT), and/or for the CCHT Test with C-Net and the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission upon successful program completion.

Please be advised that classes during the day hours may and
will be required in order for the student to experience shadowing and hands-on training clinical lab.
